Solo Mum By Choice

Many women come to this blog because they are trying, thinking of trying, or have become, a solo mum by choice (SMBC) via sperm donation or double donation.

This blog has many, many posts about single and solo parenting, as well as other social issues. Sometimes, that can make it difficult to find what you are looking for. So, for those who are specifically interested in the solo mum by choice, donor conception route to motherhood, I’ve pulled together all of my SMBC posts into one place. These posts are listed in the order of my own journey, from thinking, deciding, embarking on treatment, right through to eventually having a baby.

Many of my other posts touch on issues connected to solo motherhood – for example bonding issues which were (in a small way) connected to having used donor sperm. These, and all other posts (from holidaying to politics), are available on the homepage. You can look for specific topics in the search box, use the drop-down categories menu, or go through the archives section. You will find all these options on the right of your screen (from a laptop) or the bottom of your screen (from a mobile).

Enjoy the read! And for those of you still in the thinking/ trying stages, I wish you all the luck in the world!
